Regional tickets and collection planning
PokéSurvivor Gacha
PokéSurvivor's gacha uses tickets earned by playing, with nine regional banners from Kanto to Paldea. An ordinary pull rolls a rarity, then chooses a Pokémon uniformly from that rarity's regional pool. A ten-pull guarantees at least one 4★ or 5★ result, and each banner has its own 70-pull five-star pity counter. Start with the region containing your target, then compare its rarity pool, your ticket balance and your progress on that banner. A five-star result guarantees a rarity, not a particular species or a new partner.
Nine regional banner pools
Each rarity pool contains a different number of playable species. Every region has all five rarity pools, so the base rarity weights apply across all nine banners. A smaller pool improves the chance of a particular species within that rarity; it does not increase the chance of rolling the rarity itself.
| Banner | Total species | 1★ | 2★ | 3★ | 4★ | 5★ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kanto | 151 | 35 | 41 | 38 | 31 | 6 |
| Johto | 100 | 25 | 21 | 29 | 18 | 7 |
| Hoenn | 135 | 41 | 25 | 44 | 12 | 13 |
| Sinnoh | 107 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 32 | 15 |
| Unova | 141 | 36 | 27 | 38 | 26 | 14 |
| Kalos | 70 | 15 | 17 | 14 | 17 | 7 |
| Alola | 83 | 14 | 9 | 23 | 20 | 17 |
| Galar | 87 | 23 | 4 | 23 | 25 | 12 |
| Paldea | 92 | 24 | 7 | 19 | 30 | 12 |
Base rarity rates and duplicate refunds
These rates describe an ordinary pull before the pity and ten-pull rules intervene. The refund column applies to a normal result you already own. Refunds are PokéCoins, which do not replace the tickets spent on the pull.
| Rarity | Base chance | Normal duplicate refund |
|---|---|---|
| 1★ | 45% | 15 PokéCoins |
| 2★ | 30% | 30 PokéCoins |
| 3★ | 17% | 60 PokéCoins |
| 4★ | 6.5% | 120 PokéCoins |
| 5★ | 1.5% | 300 PokéCoins |
What each pull spends
| Action | Payment | Batch guarantee |
|---|---|---|
| Single pull | 1 ×1 ticket | Banner pity applies |
| Ten-pull with normal tickets | 10 ×1 tickets | At least one 4★ or 5★; banner pity also applies |
| Ten-pull with a voucher | 1 ×10 ticket | Same guarantees as the normal-ticket ten-pull |
A species chance is smaller than its rarity chance
For an ordinary pull, divide the rarity probability by the number of species in that region's matching pool. For Kanto targets, use the matching rarity pool size; pity, ten-pull guarantees and shiny rerouting can change the outcome.
Earn tickets and choose how to pay
Single pulls spend one normal ticket. A ten-pull can spend ten normal tickets or one ×10 ticket, depending on which payment option you choose. The voucher funds a whole batch rather than ten separate single-pull actions. Both ways of paying for a ten-pull use the same rarity rules and guarantees. PokéCoins received from duplicates are a separate currency and are not a third payment option for these pulls.
Tickets come from gameplay drops, mission rewards and achievements. Some defeated Pokémon drop normal tickets; bosses and rift legendaries can also drop ×10 tickets. Mission rewards must be collected in Missions. Daily templates pay two or three normal tickets plus coins, while every weekly template pays one ×10 ticket plus coins. Your current assigned missions determine which objectives are available.
Check the reward type before budgeting. Small team pays two normal tickets for owning ten partners. A hundred friends pays one ×10 ticket for owning 100, and Slot machine pays one ×10 ticket after 100 pulls. These collection milestones count different owned species, whereas the pull milestone counts every result. Duplicate pulls can help the pull total without increasing the number of partners you own.
How ten-pull guarantees and 70-pull pity interact
- During a ten-pull, the first nine results follow the ordinary rarity roll unless banner pity triggers. If none of those results is 4★ or 5★, the tenth result rolls only between those two rarities. Their weights remain 6.5 and 1.5, making that restricted roll 81.25% four-star and 18.75% five-star. If an earlier result already qualified, the tenth receives no extra rarity upgrade from the batch rule.
- Banner pity increments before each result is selected. Reaching a counter of 70 forces that result to 5★. Starting at zero, 69 consecutive results below five-star make the next pull guaranteed. Any five-star result resets that banner's counter to zero, including a duplicate or a five-star obtained through the ten-pull guarantee. The pity check takes priority when it lands on the final pull of a batch.
- Each region retains its own counter. Progress on Kanto does not bring Johto closer to its guarantee. Ten singles advance pity just as ten results in a batch do, but the separate single actions do not receive the batch's four-star floor. When spending normal tickets, choosing the ten-pull action is therefore a different rarity outcome from pressing the single-pull action ten times.
- For example, a banner counter of 65 means a five-star must arrive within the next five results. It can appear earlier through an ordinary roll; in that case the counter resets immediately and starts building again on the remaining results. A ten-pull can contain more than one five-star, but neither guarantee specifies which species it must be or whether you already own it.
Pick the pool containing your target
A banner selects partners from its own generation. Kanto contains 151 species, Kalos 70 and Paldea 92, but total size alone does not determine a target's chance. Bulbasaur competes with the other one-star Kanto entries; Dragonite competes with the five-star Kanto entries. Check the target's rarity before comparing regions or using a whole-banner count as the denominator.
Kanto has six five-star species, so an ordinary 1.5% five-star roll gives each one a 0.25% chance per pull. Alola has seventeen in that pool, so each five-star species has approximately a 0.0882% ordinary-pull chance. Once pity forces five-star, selection within the pool is still uniform: a particular Kanto five-star has a one-in-six chance on that guaranteed result. Repeated five-star results may therefore return the same partner.
Five-star rarity and legendary encounter status are different properties. Dragonite is a five-star gacha result without being a rift legendary. Use the legendary directory when your objective is a named encounter achievement, and the Pokédex when your objective is owning a playable partner. Spending tickets to obtain a species does not itself complete its defeat-in-a-rift achievement.
Shiny rolls, rerouting and duplicate outcomes
A selected species with an available shiny form gets a 1% shiny roll. This check comes after rarity and species selection; neither the ten-pull guarantee nor five-star pity guarantees a shiny. Some playable species lack a shiny form, so a pull from those entries has no eligible shiny roll. A normal result you already own instead refunds the rarity's listed number of PokéCoins.
If the shiny roll selects a form you already own, the game searches that same regional rarity pool for a shiny you are missing and chooses among those eligible entries. If none remain, the result becomes normal. This makes your existing shiny collection relevant to the final species result: base species odds alone cannot describe all outcomes after rerouting.
Getting a new shiny also adds its normal partner to your owned collection if needed. Getting a normal duplicate only pays its coin refund; it does not count as a newly owned species. For a collection goal, compare the missing entries in your target rarity pool before spending. For a shiny goal, check both form availability and which shinies you already own in that pool.
