PokéSurvivor Support
For account or save problems, contact PokéSurvivor's developer through the official contact page. Public bugs and suggestions can go to the game's GitHub issues. Use the official online game for cloud saves and multiplayer; the downloadable edition is for solo play. The links and checks below help you choose the right destination.
Choose an official help destination
| Destination | Use it for | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Official online game | Sign in, check your collection and continue a cloud save on another device. | Open PokéSurvivor |
| Developer contact page | Account questions, save problems and direct contact with the author. | Official contact page |
| Developer email | Explain an account-specific problem directly rather than posting personal details in a public issue. | jpieratorregrosa@gmail.com |
| Game repository issues | Report a reproducible bug or suggest a change. A GitHub account is needed to open an issue. | GitHub issues |
| Official game guide | Check controls, guest saving, language settings and the multiplayer setup. | Official guide |
Check the account and edition before looking for a save
The online game accepts a name and password or a Google sign-in. An account stores progress in the cloud so it can be continued on another device. Guest play on the official website is a way to try the game without an account, but guest progress is not saved.
The author's itch.io download has a different saving model: progress stays in that browser's local storage, and the edition is solo-only. Clearing that browser's site data removes its local save. For that edition, return to the browser where you played before expecting to find your collection.
| Play mode | Where progress is kept | Online features |
|---|---|---|
| Online account | Cloud save associated with the game account | Co-op, leaderboards and continuation across devices |
| Online guest | No persistent guest progress | Immediate solo trial |
| Downloaded solo edition | Local storage in the browser used to play | Solo play; use the online site for cloud saves, co-op and leaderboards |
If your online collection appears to be missing
Return to the original sign-in
Return to the original sign-in: Open the official game and use the same account name or Google account as before. Check which login you used on the device that still shows your collection.
Check whether you were signed out
Check whether you were signed out: After the 12 October server migration, some players needed to sign in again, with existing saves and collected Pokémon preserved. A new login prompt after that change does not by itself mean the collection was deleted.
Describe the mismatch to the developer
Describe the mismatch to the developer: If the same login still shows unexpected progress, report whether this happened on the online site or downloaded edition, which device last showed the expected save and what is missing. Do not send your password.
Make a bug report easy to reproduce
Use the developer email for account details, or the repository's issue tracker for a public gameplay bug. Include the following information so the author can follow the same sequence rather than guessing which screen or edition failed.
Identify the play environment: Name the online website or downloaded edition, device, operating system and browser. For a co-op issue, say whether you were hosting or joining.
Write the steps in order: Start from the menu or run state before the problem. List the buttons, move selections or invitations involved, followed by what you expected and what happened.
Include the affected game details: For combat, name the partner, move, item and run time if relevant. For saving, name the missing collection or upgrade and whether it had appeared on another device.
Attach the useful screen: A screenshot of an error message or affected control helps distinguish a loading failure from a gameplay problem. Keep account credentials out of public screenshots and GitHub issues.
Common mobile and co-op checks
- Moving or changing attacks on a phone
- Moving or changing attacks on a phone: Play in landscape, drag to move and tap a move icon to make it active. The top-right button pauses the game. Keyboard players move with WASD or arrows and select attacks with 1–4 or Q/E.
- iPhone fullscreen
- iPhone fullscreen: On iPhone, use Safari's Share menu and Add to Home Screen when direct fullscreen is unavailable. The 12 October update also fixes move-icon taps while another finger holds the joystick and moves controls above the home bar.
- Finding a friend or starting a room
- Finding a friend or starting a room: Use the online edition with an account. Add friends by their public nickname, create a room and send invitations; a room holds up to four players. The downloadable solo edition cannot join that room.
- A shared run pauses or cannot connect
- A shared run pauses or cannot connect: Co-op pauses when the host changes tabs or stalls, and resumes when the host returns. Failed direct connections are reported in the room while the game retries. Include the displayed connection message and host or guest role in your report.
Voluntary support goes to the game developer
PokéSurvivor's official game is free, with no advertisements or purchases. Its voluntary contributions fund the servers and domain; the servers provide saves, accounts, leaderboards and multiplayer. You can contribute through JPTER78's Ko-fi or GitHub Sponsors; surplus funds are kept for future months' running costs.
Contributing gives no gameplay advantage. You can also help by sharing the game with friends, recommending it or reporting bugs. Send contributions directly to the developer through those donation links.
Share a gameplay preview with a friend
Show friends how PokéSurvivor plays before inviting them to a run. Share the official trailer on YouTube, then have everyone sign in, add each other's nicknames and join the same room.
