Before your first run
Choose guest play or sign in: Guests can play immediately, but their progress is not saved. Create or sign in to the official game's account with a name and password, or Google, if you want cloud saving across devices.
Pick your starting partner: Take the personality test for a suggestion or reject it and select another starter. There are 29 starting partners. Your partner's types determine which moves it can learn alongside Normal moves.
Move and select an attack: Use the controls above to move through the battlefield. Your active move attacks automatically; selecting another slot changes the active attack. The four separate move slots do not all attack at once.
Build through level-up choices: Choose new moves, move upgrades or run stat cards when you level up. Pause with Esc when you need a break. For a move evolution, work toward its maximum level and required stat card, then select its golden evolution card.
Choose how to save your collection: Sign in with the same account name and password, or Google account, when returning on another device. Online guest play does not keep progress. The downloadable solo edition saves in that browser’s local storage and cannot join online co-op rooms.
Play with friends
Online rooms support up to four players. Sign in to an online account, add friends by nickname, create a room and send invitations. Experience and team leveling are coordinated by the host.
If a teammate falls, stay nearby for three seconds to revive them with half their maximum HP. The online edition provides co-op, cloud saving and leaderboards; the solo download does not include those online features.
Online and offline editions
The official browser game runs on PC, tablet and phone. On touch devices, use landscape orientation so the battlefield and move controls have room. The game offers English and Spanish based on your browser language; change the game language in Settings if needed.
For offline solo play, use the author's HTML5 download on itch.io. That edition stores progress locally in the browser. Use the official online site when your goal is multiplayer or continuing a cloud save on another device. The game itself has no advertisements or purchases, and voluntary donations do not change gameplay.
If the game does not load
Use the direct official-game link above if the embedded frame stays blank or your browser prevents embedding. Fullscreen availability depends on the browser and device. Playing in the embedded frame still requires access to pokesurvivor.com under your network's rules.
Change the game's language and other settings inside its own menu; the controls above the frame do not change your game account or preferences. Enter account details only in the official game's interface. For account or save problems, use the official support channels.
